LINCOLN CENTER ECONOMIC IMPACT REPORT RELEASED AT GALA EVENT

"Tenors belted and violin strings quivered last night at Lincoln Center. It was a night like any other at the vaunted arts organization - and that was cause for celebration on a day when it released a report on its economic impact." ...So reported the New York Sun in its coverage of the report by Economic Development Research Group.

The report provided an unusually detailed look into the characteristics of workers, visitors and vendors to the twelve performing arts organizations that constitute Lincoln Center. And it was reported that the results "made for good conversation" at Lincoln Center's black-tie event.

The in-depth study was conducted by EDR Group with the assistance of Mt. Auburn Associates, and garnered broad press coverage and accolades. "It's visionary and extremely responsible of Lincoln Center to create this kind of detailed profile," said the (NYC) Commissioner of the Department of Cultural Affairs. A noted philanthropist summed up the report by noting that "It's jobs, tourism, restaurants. It's about attracting bright young people to this city who want to be here because of the arts and culture."

The event received extentive coverage by the news media including the New York Times, New York Sun and Crain's New York Business.
