Supporting Kazakhstan- Kyrgyz Republic Cross-Border Exchange through an Economic Impact Assessment for a New Road

As part of the Almaty-Bishkek Economic Corridor initiative (ABEC, www.almaty-bishkek.org), Asian Development Bank (ADB) commissioned EBP to conduct an Economic Impact Assessment for a new mountain road crossing the border between Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic between Almaty and the tourism region Issyk-Kul.

Mark Sieber gave a presentation about the project status at the 4th ABEC Subcommittee Meeting in Almaty, Kazakhstan on November 27, 2019.  The meeting was co-chaired by Vice Ministers of both countries and facilitated by ADB.
