Atlanta International Airport Economic Impact Study

EBP (formerly EDR Group) led a team in conducting the 2016-2017 economic impact study of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). The goal of the project was to communicate the economic contribution of the Airport to metropolitan Atlanta, the state of Georgia, and the Piedmont-Atlanta Megaregion to a diverse audience of policy makers, government agencies, business and opinion leaders, media, and the general public.

The project included an analysis of (1) On-airport economic activity, including airport and tenant operations, as well as construction activity (2) Visitor spending effects on the tourism economy, and (3) industry reliance on air freight at ATL. The project benchmarked results against the prior ATL impact studies (in which EBP was involved) and against documented contributions of other major airports. Findings were shared in the form of a high-level executive summary and presentation, as well as documented in detail within a technical report.
